FRANKLIN FURNACE - And the beat goes on. Or rather, the beating.
The Symmes Valley Vikings continued to beat opponents as they blanked the Green Bobcats 3-0 Monday in a Southern Ohio Conference game.
The Vikings are now 14-4 on the season and 11-4 in the SOC. They host Portsmouth Notre Dame in a league game Tuesday before entertaining South Gallia Thursday in the Division IV sectional tournament finals.

The lead went to 2-0 in the third when Artrip doubled, went to third on an error and scored on a squeeze bunt by Justin Holland.
Symmes Valley added an insurance run in the fourth inning.
Matt Owens singled, stole second and scooted home on a hit by Gilmore.
Brian Ramey was 2-3 for Green.
