The Symmes Valley Lady Vikings used 16 walks to help rout the Portsmouth East Lady Tartans 16-0 Saturday in the Division IV sectional finals.

Nine walks the first inning and several passed balls led to an 8-run first inning.

Cassie Myers, Jodi Black, Haley Wolford and Lori Harmon all had hits for the Lady Vikings.

Harmon and Kristen Crabtree combined to pitch a perfect game. Harmon struck out nine in four innings.

Symmes Valley, 17-5, will play in the district Thursday at 6 p.m. at Minford against Reedsville Eastern.

The Lady Vikings will play a regular season game Tuesday at Russell, Ky.
