PERRY TOWNSHIP -
A Lick Creek Road family apparently escaped injury but lost their home this morning after a gas explosion.
Perry Township Assistant Fire Chief Larry Anderson said the incident happened
just after 5 a.m.
"Some LP gas built up in the basement. We're not sure what caused the ignition, We don't know if it was a pilot light on a furnace or something else but it moved the house off the foundation," Anderson said.
The names of the family members, who were home at the time of the incident, were not available at press time. Anderson said he the house is a total loss.
