COLUMBUS - Nobody doesn't like Sarah Lee. Except her opponents.

Lee, the freshman long jumper for the South Point Lady Pointers, hopes to offend as many athletes as possible Saturday as she jumps in the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division II state track and field meet.

The meet begins at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on the campus of Ohio State University. Lee will jump at 1 p.m.

Lee won the Southeast district meet with a leap of 16-8 and one-half. She qualified for the state meet when she placed fourth in the regional meet by jumping 17-feet, one-half inch.

Lee and 12 other area athletes will compete in the Division II and Division III state meet this weekend.

Cachet Murray of Girard is the favorite. She has the best jump coming into the meet at 18-1 and a quarter-inch. Lee is among nine athletes who have jumped 17 feet.
