Comic changes meant to help readability

Do not adjust your glasses. If you think portions of today's edition look larger than they did last week, you are correct.

In response to a number of reader suggestions, we've slightly modified our daily features line-up beginning today.

The changes include making some of our comic strips larger than we've published them in quite a few years.

In addition, all of the crossword, jumble and cryptoquote fans may not have to strain as much to see their work. We've made those features a bit larger, too.

In order to make room for the larger sizes, we've reduced the number of comics we publish daily.

"The changes come after much feedback from our readers and we hope the changes make our newspaper easier to read," said publisher Kevin Cooper. "Anytime we make a change - even minor ones such as these - we only do so after careful research with our readers."
