Ashland woman indicted in Ironton man#039;s death

CATLETTSBURG, Ky.- An Ashland, Ky., woman has been indicted by a Boyd County grand jury in connection with the death of an Ironton man in a traffic accident this summer.

Christy Brockett, 26, faces one count of murder. Ashland police said Brockett operated her car in a reckless manner and was attempting to

make a left-hand turn

when her car collided with Edward Lewis Jr.' motorcycle.

A test revealed her blood alcohol level at the time of the crash to be .08, which is the legal limit of intoxication in Kentucky.

Lewis died of his injuries two days later at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. The accident occurred June 3.

If convicted, Brockett faces a sentence of up to life in prison.
