COLUMBUS (AP) - The Ohio State women's basketball team, coming off a 21-10 record and a trip to the NCAA tournament, was picked Wednesday to finish first in the coaches' Big Ten preseason poll, beating out Michigan State and Minnesota.

In media balloting, Purdue was picked first, the Buckeyes' second and Penn State No. 3.

In addition, Ohio State sophomore center Jessica Davenport, selected as the Big Ten's top freshman a year ago, was selected to both the media and coaches' preseason all-conference teams.
