Wins over rivals were rewarded, but one got more rewards than the other.

The Ironton Fighting Tigers 8-0 win over Portsmouth and Coldwater's 10-7 win over Versailles earned each team more points in this week's Associated Press Div. IV poll, but there was no change in their poll spots.

Coldwater remained No. 1 while Ironton weighs in at No. 2.

Ironton, 8-0, again had 10 first place votes. Although the Fighting Tigers point total climbed from 296 to 311, Coldwater also showed an increase in both first place votes and points.

Coldwater, 8-0, had 22 first place votes compared to 20 last week and its point total went from 317 to 341.

Ironton has two very difficult games to play, Belfry, Ky., and Columbus DeSales. Coldwater's toughest test is week 10 against Delphos St. John's, a Division VI team.
