COLUMBUS (AP) - Tailback Lydell Ross is back with his Ohio State teammates, even though it is unclear if and when he will play again for the Buckeyes.

Head coach Jim Tressel cleared Ross to practice with the scout team this week and to dress for Saturday's home game against Penn State.

A complaint filed last week accused the senior captain of passing phony money coupons at a local strip club. He was suspended for last week's game against Indiana.

''We're kind of sitting still, if you will, because there have been no charges,'' Tressel said Tuesday.

Tressel declined to predict if Ross would play against Penn State. Freshman Tony Pittman replaced him at tailback and rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown in a 30-7 win.
