PROCTORVILLE - The leaderboard belonged to the River Valley Raiders, and so did the meet.

River Valley placed seven runners in the top 10 to win Saturday's Ohio Valley Conference cross country meet.

Chris Rough and Jeremy Wolfe went 1-2 to lead the Raiders who took six of the first seven spots. Fairland's Chuck Wentz broke up the monopoly as he ran an 18:26 to place third.

Rough had a winning time of 18:12 while Wolfe was right on his heels at 18:20.

Stephen Lien of South Point placed eighth with a 19:47 time and Chesapeake's Adam Slone grabbed ninth place with a 19:48 clocking.

Andy Burgess and Richard Bond of South Point was in the No. 11 and 12 spots with times of 19:50 and 19:54, respectively. Coal Grove's Chris Dirling was 13th with a 20:14 time.

Chase Burke of Fairland ran a 20:38 to place 16th, Joey Stevens of South Point was 17th at 21:00, and Fairland ran off the next three spots as Travis Jones had a time of 21:16, Nate Evans 21:26 and Michael Evans 21:42 to round out the top 20.

In the girls meet, Chesapeake's Veronica Perko took first place with a 24:02 clocking.

River Valley grabbed the next three spots and five of the top 10 places to win the meet with 24 points. Coal Grove had 57 and Fairland 66.

Coal Grove's Samantha Zornes was fifth with a 25:45 time. Caitlyn Detamore and Krystal Johnson of Fairland went 7-8 with times of 27:18 and 27:26, respectively.

Amanda Bocook of Coal Grove ran a 28:25 to place 10th and teammate Sarah Stevens was 11th at 28:27.
