COAL GROVE - Now that's getting off on the right foot.

The Coal Grove Lady Hornets opened up a comfortable halftime lead and coasted to a lopsided 64-30 season opening win over the Portsmouth Notre Dame Lady Titans on Saturday.

"It's always nice to win that first game," Lady Hornets coach Nick Miller said. "It got a little sloppy at times, but you expect that the first time out."
