"Sarah Rucker played a good game handling their big girls. Joanna Delimpo did a good job on James. The girls have been working hard. They'll only get better."

Rucker finished with 7 points to lead Chesapeake. Brittany Boyle hit a pair of 3-pointers and finished with 6 points.

Jackie Wamsley of Gallipolis led all scorers with 21 points.

Gallipolis led 7-3 after the first quarter and Chesapeake drew to within 16-13 at the half.
