CHESAPEAKE - Tough times call for tough players.

There were plenty of tough times and tough players Thursday as the South Point Lady Pointers squeezed past the Chesapeake Lady Panthers 49-46 in the Ohio Valley Conference opener for both teams.

"Chesapeake lost Lisa Perry, but they still have a lot of girls back who have played in big games," Pointers coach Dave Adams said. "But we have a lot of girls who have been in tough games before and it was a difference at the end."
