It wasn't all there, but enough of it was.

Although it wasn't a complete performance by the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers, it was enough to knock off the Portsmouth Lady Trojans 62-45 Thursday.

Ironton had virtually all facets of its game working in the first half, then played an up and down game in the second half. Still, Ironton coach Amy Hughes was satisfied.

"We played in spurts, but we're coming," Hughes said. "The first half we shot the ball well, we passed the ball well, we rebounded well and we played good defense.

"Somewhere in the third quarter we lost our intensity and played in spurts. We have to maintain our intensity, but I can see improvement."

Sara Hacker had a solid performance with 19 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. Andrea Rudmann finished with 13 points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists as Ironton improved to 7-0 on the season.

Also in double figures for Ironton were Mandi Boykin with 12 points and Danielle Henderson with 10. Boykin also had five rebounds.

Portsmouth (4-4) was led by Brya Coleman with 18 points and Tonya McKenzie with 10.

Hacker had 6 points in the first quarter as Ironton went up 16-6. Hacker followed up a missed shot with 2:49 left in the half that pushed the lead to 28-10.

The Trojans were down 28-15 when Hacker sank two foul shots, Rudmann converted a 3-point play and Boykin hit an 8-footer with 54 seconds on the clock to give Ironton a 35-15 halftime cushion.

A 17-footer by Henderson extended Ironton's lead to 42-19 with 5:20 left in the third quarter. A 3-pointer by Rudmann and layup by Hacker made it 47-27 at the end of the third quarter.

Coleman and Sydnee Jordan each hit 3-pointers as the Trojans got within 54-41 with 4:46 to play, but Rudmann hit a 17-footer, Henderson made a short jumper and Hacker added a layup as the lead went back to 60-43.

In the reserve game, Ironton won 27-15 as Chelsea Cleary scored 8 points, Kayla Wileman 7 and Ashley Moritz 6. Maggie Colley had 5 for the Trojans.
