Arrests made after secret drug indictments

Five people who were indicted secretly by a Lawrence County grand jury last month have been arrested.
All five people were indicted on various drug charges as a result of investigations into drug activity by the Lawrence County Drug Task Force.
Ellery Tarrant, 43, of 1324 S. Ninth St., Ironton, faces two counts of fourth-degree felony trafficking in crack cocaine and one count of third-degree felony trafficking in crack cocaine.
William Sheppard, 45, of 461 Township Road 1055, Proctorville, faces three counts of fourth-degree felony trafficking in drugs.
Ambra Stevens, 23, of 6451 County Road 12, Proctorville, faces one count of fourth-degree felony trafficking in drugs and one count of fifth-degree felony trafficking in marijuana.
Brent A. Lewis, also of
6451 County Road 12, Proctorville, faces two counts of third-degree felony trafficking in drugs, two counts of fourth-degree felony trafficking in marijuana, one count of fourth-degree felony trafficking in drugs and one count of fifth-degree felony trafficking in marijuana.
Travis S. Moore, 23, of 396 County Road 70, Proctorville, faces three counts of fifth-degree felony trafficking in powder cocaine.
The grand jury met Dec. 6 and 7 and returned indictments against a total of 12 other people as well.
Authorities said these five are among 58 people arrested this year on drug charges.
