LATHAM - If you're facing a scoring machine, who ya gonna call? Point busters.

The Green Bobcats were going against Western Pike and leading scorer Jeremy McCleoud who was averaging 23 points a game. So Green coach Kevin Sheridan called upon Jason Bester and Adam Sparks.

The duo worked to hold McCleoud to just 13 points as the Bobcats routed the Indians 62-40 Tuesday in a Southern Ohio Conference game.

"It was good to go there and get a win. We did a pretty good job on McCleoud. Bester and Sparks really did a good job on him," Sheridan said.

Green got its offense going as Derek Lewis hit five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 25 points. Brian Ramey had 10 points and 11 rebounds. John Dawson had eight rebounds and Brad DeHart seven as Green pulled down 50 for the game.

"We did a good job on the boards again. Ramey, Dawson and DeHart did some good work and Derek shot the ball well. He was due to get hot," Sheridan said.

"We're getting better on the defensive end, and our field goal percentage is up, which is good."

Lewis had 6 points as the Bobcats shot out to a 16-6 first quarter lead. Lewis erupted for 10 points in the second quarter as Green expanded its lead to 33-16 at the break.

Western rallied in the third quarter to get within 43-32. Lewis hit a pair of 3-pointers in the third quarter - the Bobcats only field goals of the quarter.

But Ramey had 8 of his points in the fourth quarter and the Bobcats were 7 of 11 from the line as Green pulled away to the easy win.
