HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- An Ironton man reported missing earlier this week has been located.

Ironton Police detective Jim Carey said he received a phone call Thursday from Justin Eldridge, 19, advising the detective that he was safe. Later Carey said he received information Eldridge was at a bar in Huntington, W.Va. and did in fact locate him there.

Eldridge was last seen by his family Thursday but was reportedly seen in Ironton over the weekend.

The fear grew last week when the family found a suicide note.

Though he is an adult, Eldridge is considered mentally challenged, is easily misled and requires supervised care, said Rick Ulery, who has been his guardian since Eldridge was 8 years old.
