One aspect of Nida's job will be providing presentations about litter control and recycling to local schools, businesses and organizations.

"I want to stress the importance of recycling and litter prevention," Nida said.

"If anyone wants to contact me, I will speak to civic groups, day cares, after school programs, adult education," Nida said.

"I want to answer any question or concern about recycling. I look forward to this new endeavor."

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Recycling and Litter Prevention and the county commissions in Lawrence and Scioto counties fund the Lawrence-Scioto County Recycling and Litter Control Program on an annual basis. It is operated under the Lawrence-Scioto County Solid Waste District and is administered by the CAO.

The purpose of the program is to promote waste reduction and recycling, to prevent litter and increase environmental awareness.

To schedule a presentation, Nida can be reached at 532-3534.
