FRANKLIN FURNACE - Good team, good crowd, bad luck.

The Green Bobcats couldn't get their shots to fall in the second quarter as they fell to the Div. IV No. 5-ranked South Webster Jeeps 57-38 Tuesday before a packed gym.

"We had some good looks but the shots went in and out," Green coach Kevin Sheridan said. "It was a good test for our young guys. We got a little tired. It was hot and the place was packed and we played a quality team."

Green's Brian Ramey scored 8 points as the Bobcats took a 17-12 in the first quarter.

But the shots wouldn't drop in the second quarter as Green managed just 2 points. Kyle Cayton had all 5 of his points as South Webster rallied to take a 27-19 halftime lead.

Nick Aldridge came to life and scored 12 points in the third quarter as South Webster outscored Green 20-8 to build a 47-27 lead. Derek Lewis had 5 of Green's 8 points.

"We held Aldridge to 6 points the first half, but they turned us over a couple of times and went up 15 real quick. After that, it was all uphill," Sheridan said.

Aldridge had 6 more points in the fourth quarter to offset 5 points by Green's Jason Bester as the Jeeps improved to 16-1.

Ramey had 13 points, 10 rebounds and three steals to lead Green (11-7).

Aldridge led all scorers with 24 points.
