COLUMBUS (AP) - Quarterback Chad Salisbury, who started the first two games this season for the Arena Football League's Columbus Destroyers, was released by the team Tuesday.

The Destroyers also announced that Matt D'Orazio, who played his college ball at nearby Otterbein, would make his first career start at quarterback in Saturday night's home game against the Chicago Rush. The team also signed Ryan Vena, last year's starting QB who was cut prior to this season.

D'Orazio, a Columbus native, has served as a reserve quarterback the past two seasons. Prior to joining the Destroyers, D'Orazio quarterbacked the arenafootball2's Rochester Brigade where he threw for 3,372 yards and 51 touchdowns.
