UPPER TOWNSHIP -

Two men were hospitalized Friday after an accident on State Route 93.

A car driven by Ronald L. Johnson, 26, of Pedro, slid off the

roadway and struck a rock embankment and a tree, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

A second car, driven by Dwayne O. Jenkins, of Ironton, also slid off the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned, ejecting Jenkins from the vehicle.

Both men were transported by SEOEMS to St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, W.Va.

Jenkins was listed in stable condition Friday while Johnson was treated and released.

The crash remains under investigation.
