Last year on Dec. 8, the area Wendy's High School Heisman candidates were honored during a meal at Wendy's of Coal Grove.
Area high school Heisman candidates honored included Brandi Norris and Marcus Williams of Ironton High School, Amanda Bocook and Jim Lemon of Coal Grove High School and Lori Harmon of Symmes Valley High School.
Candidates nominated are judged on their character, academics and community involvement as well as their athletic contributions.
Along with lunch, each candidate was presented with a collection of Wendy's memorabilia and each high school was presented with a Wendy's High School Heisman plaque displaying this year's candidates' names.
Wendy's extends its congratulations to each candidates and the area high schools for their participation in the program.
