A man wearing a pillowcase over his head put the five-finger discount on cash register money Tuesday at Clark's Pump and Shop, formerly University Mart on Liberty Avenue.

"This guy with a pillowcase came in, opened the cash register, took the money and took off," Ironton Police Detective Jim Akers said. "We think he might have been in

the store earlier in the day and watched the attendant use the register."

The man is described as a white male wearing a green tee shirt and black jeans. It is not known how much money he took or in what direction he fled.
