If they tested the sight of the Fairland Lady Dragons bats, they would probably be 20-20.

The Lady Dragons poked through the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers defense for 10 hits as they took an 8-4 win Tuesday.

"We had some balls tonight that had eyes on them. We just kept finding the holes," Fairland coach Leroy Baise said.

Marie Stewart went 2-3 and Megan Auxier 2-4 with a home run and Ashley Graham 2-4 to lead Fairland's attack.

Auxier got the win as she went the distance allowing seven hits while striking out four and walking one.

Tracy Mays took the loss as she struck out nine and walked six.

Offensively for Ironton, Edi Taylor was 2-3 and Kelsey Bronson and Mays were 2-4.

Fairland took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Stewart walked, Auxier reached on an error and Ashley Graham singled.

The Lady Dragons scored five in the second inning to go up 6-0.

Taylor Dillard and Danielle Jordan singled and Beth Schlegel doubled for two runs. Stewart singled in a run and Auxier had an inside-the-park home run to score two.

The lead went to 6-0 in the fourth inning when Auxier doubled and Graham singled.

Ironton rallied for all its runs in the bottom of the inning.

Mays singled, Brandi Norris reached on an error and Julie Belville had an RBI single. Taylor singled and Chelcie Rowland was safe on an error as two runs scored. Jessica Weaver reached on an error to score the final run.

The Lady Dragons added an insurance run in the fifth inning.

Jennifer Legg walked, Jordan hit into a fielder's choice and Steward had a run-scoring single.

Fairland, 8-4, hosts River Valley Wednesday. Ironton plays at Ashland, Ky., Thursday.
