Lady Panthers maintain OVC softball lead

PEDRO - Candace Dickerson pitched a four-hitter and went 3-for-4 as the Chesapeake Lady Panthers edged the Rock Hill Redwomen 3-2 and remained in first place in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Chesapeake, 6-1 and 3-0 in the OVC, finished with seven hits. Joanna Delimpo and Allyson Baise each went 2-4.
Katrina Settle went 2-3 to lead the Redwomen, 3-2 and 1-2.
Rock Hill played a doubleheader at Pickerington Saturday and travels to River Valley Monday for a league game.

PROCTORVILLE - The South Point Lady Pointers used a big offense to outscore the Fairland Lady Dragons 9-6 Friday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
Ashley Patrick went 3-for-4 as South Point collected 13 hits. Marie Viglianco, Summer Malone and Felesha Dickess all went 2-4.
Patrick got the win as she allowed seven hits.
Ashley Graham and Danielle Jordan were 2-4 to lead Fairland.
