HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - New Marshall University head football coach Mark Snyder will soon see some familiar faces at practice. They'll just be wearing green.
Snyder announced Friday that his coaching staff is nearly complete. Eight members will remain from Bob Pruett's staff, while four newcomers have been added, including three of Snyder's former coaching colleagues from Ohio State University. The defensive line coach has yet to be named.
"I feel confident and comfortable that we have hired not only great coaches but great people and great leaders," Snyder said.
Former OSU defensive assistant Todd Goebbel will be Marshall's special units and wide receivers coach. Buckeyes' offensive assistant Jared Smith is Marshall's new running backs coach. Mike Cochran, who coached with Snyder at both Youngstown State University and OSU, will be the Thundering Herd's strength and conditioning coach.
