Two poker runs are scheduled for the month of May to raise money for two local causes.

Saturday, the Fraternal Order of Police Ironton Aerie 895 will sponsor a poker run and hog roast to benefit the Lana Holbrook Scholarship Fund. The fund was established to honor the memory and help the children of Holbrook, a sheriff's office dispatcher who was shot and killed by her estranged husband.

"We're hoping to raise a bunch of money," FOP President Pam Neal Wagner said. "Lana was was one of us, a sister in law enforcement. She had children who lost both a mother and a father, basically."
