One of Ironton's newest residents, Rick Jansen, has also been one its busiest. Jansen and the Friends of Ironton, a grassroots community improvement group he founded, have made a significant impact all across Ironton and the surrounding areas. From the purchase of bullet-resistant vests for the police department to the creation of last fall's successful Rally on the River, Jansen has quickly made a mark in the hearts and minds of Ironton's citizens.
