Pitching keys SPSL win
SOUTH WEBSTER - The pitching was the star among stars.
In the opening game of the District 11 Senior League all-stars, South Point used the pitching of Moore with a one-hitter to edge Ironton 2-0 Saturday morning.
Moore struck out six in getting the win. Ryan Waginger allowed just seven hits and struck out five as he took the loss.
The winning run scored in fourth inning as Moore, Beau Weed and Tyler Smith all singled for a run.
South Point added an insurance run in the fifth inning when Anthony Ross doubled and Chase McWhorter singled.
