SOUTH POINT - In a way, a Lawrence County boy is coming home.
Smith's Home Medical has announced plans to expand to a new location in South Point.
Michael D. Fletcher, president and CEO of the Portsmouth-based company, is a Lawrence County native. With 22 years experience in the home medical business, Fletcher said he knows the need of the community.
"We want to make sure to meet the needs of all our patients," Fletcher said. "As our community has grown and our number of patients has increased, we recognized that to ensure all of our patients could conveniently shop with us, we needed to add a new location to serve the Cabell and Huntington, W.Va., regions as well as Lawrence County, Ohio."
The new location, inside McMean's Pharmacy at 708 Fourth St. West, will offer home oxygen therapy, diabetic supplies and shoes, wheelchairs, hospital beds, canes, walkers, lift chairs and more.
"It has always been my desire to offer professional and personalized home oxygen therapy, medical equipment and supplies to the friends and family where I was born and raised," Fletcher said.
"I encourage everyone to come out and visit our McMean's Pharmacy location. … Service and satisfaction is our first priority."
