FRANKLIN FURNACE - You can't blame Mark Castro if he diets this week.

Green kept feeding Castro the ball and he helped the Bobcats roll past the Corning Miller Falcons 55-0 Friday night.

Castro had 13 carries for 133 yards plus a touchdown as Green went to 2-1 on the season.

"Castro came out and set the tone," Green coach Kevin Sheridan said. "We fed him the ball and he had some nice runs. They never really stopped him. He had some big runs on our first possession."

Green's offensive line of center John Dawson, guards Brad DeHart and Wes Bailey, tackles Doug Castro, Ryan Klaiber and Curtis Botkins and tight end Ian Kelly was a key in the 429 total yards.

"The guys up front did a good job establishing themselves, staying with their blocks and opening up the holes. And our backs did a good job blocking for each other," Sheridan said.

The defense limited Miller to 57 total yards. Andy Avery had a key interception and John Dawson had a blocked punt that led to a score.

"Anytime you shut a team out you've done a pretty good job,' Sheridan said.

Castro had a 34-yard run for the game's first touchdown and it was 6-0.

Dawson blocked a punt and Cory Dyer recovered the ball in the end zone for a touchdown as the lead went to 12-0 with 2:28 left in the first quarter.

Dustin Williams had a 6-yard run for a touchdown and Mark Castro's conversion kick made it 20-0.

Green completed its only pass of the game, a 17-yard scoring strike from Derek Lewis to Dyer with 1:08 left in the half.

Miller fumbled after the ensuing kickoff and Green recovered. Williams bolted 25 yards with just 42 seconds left to extend the lead to 33-0 at the half.

Green's backup put three touchdowns on the scoreboard in the second half. John Butler ran 36 yards for a third quarter score while Dyer got loose on a 62-yard run and James McGuire had a 29-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.

Green, 2-1, plays at Eastern Meigs next week.
