Pointers tie OVC in soccer

GALLIPOLIS - The South Point Pointers battled the Ohio Valley Christian Defenders to a 2-2 tie in a soccer match Thursday.
OVC had taken a 1-0 lead on a goal by Luke Swiney at the 26:52 mark of the first half.
South Point (0-3-2) tied the game with 38:50 on the clock in the second half on a goal by Benji Smith.
OVC (2-1-1) went ahead when Mike Williams scored on an assist from Brandon Caoughenour with 23:05 left to play.
South Point then rallied to
tie the score with just 4:38
to go on a goal by Bobby Burgess.
