Accused murderer returned to Ironton for court

The woman accused of running over another woman and leaving the victim on the floodwall in Ironton a week ago is back in Lawrence County today.

Kimberly Dawn Delawder, 33, of 90 Pine St., Ironton, was brought back to Ironton from Myrtle Beach, S.C., Monday afternoon, according to Ironton police detective, Capt. Jim Carey.

"We left (for Myrtle Beach) Saturday and spoke with her Sunday and then we got back yesterday about 4 o'clock," Carey said.

Delawder is lodged in the Lawrence County Jail. She is being charged with aggravated vehicular homicide. She is scheduled appear in Ironton Municipal Court Thursday morning for arraignment.

The body of Kathleen Owens, 35, of Ironton, was found the afternoon of Sept. 17 on the floodwall near Buckeye Flea Market along First Street. Delawder was arrested in connection with Owens' death last week by Myrtle Beach Police.
