CHESAPEAKE - It may have been chilly and a little rainy, but the weather did little to keep the community away from the Octoberfest in Chesapeake Saturday.

In fact, as one resident pointed out, the chilly air only made the delicious smells of all the food being cooked, all the more enticing.

Several residents and their families turned out for the festival. Some people walked from booth to booth stopping to look, sample and sometimes buy various items while others stood around chatting with friends and neighbors.

&#8221I think the festival is a great way to bring the community together,“ Chesapeake resident Sarah Price said.
