OHSAA sets guidelines for playoffs

Come to the game and have fun, but …

The Ohio High School Athletic Association wants fans to enjoy the postseason playoff games, but the governing body of Ohio's high school athletics has established some guidelines to keep order.

The rules apply to all playoff games at each of the six different divisions.

Fans attending Saturday's Division IV quarterfinal game at Tanks Memorial Stadium between the Ironton Fighting Tigers and Rock Hill Redmen are asked to following six rules concerning the exterior of the facility as well as the inside:

1. There will be no readmits or pass outs until the end of the third quarter.

2. No noisemakers or air horns allowed.

3. No coolers or containers permitted inside the gates.

4. Spectators are not permitted on the field.

5. All banners must be approved by their school administrator.

6.Campaigning: No person or group may distribute materials in the facility. Cooperation from all candidates is greatly appreciated.

Kickoff for Saturday's games is 7 p.m.

Tickets for the playoff game will be sold in advance for $6 at each school, Bob Linn Sporting Goods and Lambert's Market.

All tickets at the gate are $8. Anyone the age of 6 and older must purchase a ticket.
