ICC Ladies Nine Hole group wraps up season

PINE GROVE - The Ironton Country Club Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association conducted its end of the year meeting with a guest day and pot luck luncheon.

Nancy Livingston served as hostess.

Following breakfast treats, members enjoyed a golf scramble with their guests. Winners of the event were Mr. and Mrs. Lon Fraley and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lewis.

After golfing, the members provided a display of their culinary talents. Mrs. Sue Ball shared blessing before the meal.

Following the luncheon, Mrs. Pat Riggs remembered Lynn Rapp, a former member who passed away during the past golf season, with special thoughts and words. A plaque with Rapp's picture was displayed and is being hung in the ladies' locker room.

Guests attending were: Bill Rapp, Charley Howard, Carlos Willis, Merril Triplett, Ernie Jones, Bill Ball, Lon Fraley, Jim Riggs, George Livingston, Ralph Lewis and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brose.

Along with the aforementioned members attending were Jeanne Wiseman, Doris Roberts, Midge Payne, Rose Auble, Johnna Jones, Irene Howard, Georgia Willis and Georgia Triplett.

The 2005 golf event awards went to: Rose Auble, championship flight and handicap tournament; Joyce Lewis, first flight and par tree; Pat Riggs, Ringer Tournament, birdie tree and par tree; Jamie Dyer, Ringer Tournament runner-up; Doris Roberts, most improved; and Johnna Jones, handicap tournament runner-up.

New officers for the upcoming season were announced with co-chairpersons Rose Auble and Nancy Livingston, Joyce Lewis secretary, Johnna Jones treasurer, Midge Payne and Doris Roberts sunshine committee, and Georgia Willis and Irene Howard phone committee.
