The Lawrence County’s Fraternal Order of Police are ready to have a ball — for the first time in years.
Saturday night, the dry spell will be broken. Members of the FOP Lodge 75 will host the dinner and dancing event beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus on South Third Street.
“All the money raised goes for good causes,” FOP President Pam Neal Wagner said. “It will go to help the county’s two K-9 units and anti drug efforts.”
Music will be provided by Gypzy Roze, dinner catering will be provided by Joy Coffman. Dinner and happy hour will begin at 7:30, the band will perform at 9.
“We still have tickets. You can get them at the Ironton Police Department, the Knights of Columbus or from any FOP member,” Wagner said.
“We appreciate the local businesses. They’ve been good to us. Spriggs Distributing and The Printing Express have supported us and a lot of other local businesses have, too. We appreciate that,” Wagner said.
Tickets are $35 per couple or $20 per single at the door the night of the event. The dress code is semi-formal.
