JACKSON — The Rock Hill Redwomen just didn’t get it.

The ball in the basket, that is.

The Redwomen were victims of cold shooting as they fell 50-28 to the Jackson Ironladies Monday. Rock Hill made just 6 of 25 attempts for 24 percent.

“We couldn’t get into our offense,” Redwomen coach Matt Fulks said. “They had a couple of guards who could shoot it. We lost them a few times and they knocked them down.”

Jackson led just 13-8 after the first quarter, but then connected on four 3-pointers in the second quarter and opened up a 33-16 halftime lead. Leali had nine points in the quarter.

“We battled, we just couldn’t hit any shots. We didn’t play too bad defensively,” Fulks said.

Victoria Leali had 19 points including four 3-pointers to lead Jackson (11-2).

“Jackson is a good team. They have a nice package. Their point guard can handle the ball and they’re pretty quick,” Fulks said.

Bobbi Harper scored nine points and Brittany Ross seven for the Redwomen (5-9) who did converted 14 of 18 from the foul line.

“Our foul shooting was a bright spot,” Fulks said.
