Rebbeca Capper scored 13 points including 7 of 8 from the line, Kayla Saunders had six steals and Megan Coomes had four swipes plus 12 rebounds as the Lady Vikings pulled down 42 rebounds.

The Lady Vikings trailed 9-7 after the first quarter and were behind by as many as five points in the second quarter.

“We started slow but we want to come out and set the pace for our team and I believe our girls did that. Games are won on defense and rebounding and that’s what we accomplished tonight,” coach Bryant said.

Tiffany Bryant had eight points in the third quarter as Symmes Valley held Eastern to five points and opened up a 37-24 lead and the Lady Vikings coasted.
