CHESAPEAKE — The Fairland Junior Dragons 7th grade boys won the Ohio Valley Conference Middle School tournament championship with a 41-36 win over the Chesapeake Junior Panthers.

Fairland started fast and then held off the Panthers to claim the title.

Chad Fisher scored 10 points and Anthony Dillard eight more as Fairland came out hot and took a 24-5 first quarter lead before holding off the Panthers comeback.

Fisher scored 17 points and Dillard 16 to lead the Dragons.

Nathan Copley had 17 points and Trey West eight for Chesapeake which finished 14-2 after winning the regular season title at 8-0.
