LLOYD, Ky. — Look for the Green Lady Bobcats on an ESPN2 fishing show this week. They plan to tell a story about the one that got away.

After leading at halftime, Green watched the Greenup County Lady Musketeers rally in the second half for a 41-28 win.

“We didn’t shoot well, but when you play in an open arena the background is a lot different. I don’t know if it was a factor or not,” Green coach Dale Royse said.

“It was frustrating. We felt like we let this one get away from us.”

Green held Greenup County scoreless in the first quarter as the Lady Bobcats took a 6-0 lead.

The Lady Bobcats were up 14-8 at the half.

Greenup County outscored Green 17-10 in the third quarter to go up 25-24 and the Lady Bobcats managed just four points in the fourth quarter.

“Defensively, we played pretty well, especially in the first half,” Royse said. “We allowed them to get inside our zone in the second half.”

Shay Richendollar led Green with nine points, seven in the second half, while Kortney Pfleger had seven rebounds and Traci Elrod had five assists.

Sara Saxton scored 16 points — all in the second half — to lead the Musketeers. Sarah Tavis added 10 points.
