PROCTORVILLE — Megan Auxier pitched a six-hitter as the Fairland Lady Dragons edged the Spring Valley (W.Va.) Lady Timberwolves 2-1 Thursday.

Auxier struck out 10 and did not walk a batter. She hit two batters.

Danielle Jordan walked, moved to second base on a fielder’s choice, took third base on a passed ball and came home when Stephanie Graham reached on an error.

Spring Valley tied the game in the second inning, but

Mandy Clark walked, took second on a ground out and scored on Kirstin Midkiff’s double.

Fairland, coming off a 3-2 win over Gallipolis Wednesday, plays at South Gallia Friday.
