PROCTORVILLE — With just six more weeks until the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, teams are putting their fund-raising efforts into high gear.

The Relay will be May 5 at Fairland High School. This year’s goal is to raise $109,000, all of which will stay in Lawrence County to provide services to cancer patients and survivors.

The Relay is an annual event held in communities nationwide that brings together teams from businesses, schools, churches and families.
