Two-car collision injures teens

DECATUR TOWNSHIP — Four young people were injured Saturday evening in a head-on collision on State Route 93 in Decatur Township.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Matthew Bloomfield, 19, of Pedro, was apparently northbound on that roadway when his car crossed the centerline and struck a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old male, also of Pedro.
Bloomfield and a passenger in his vehicle, Amber C. Wyatt, 18, also of Pedro, were taken to Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. Information about their conditions was not available at press time.
The 17-year-old driver and a passenger in his car, a 17-year-old male from Kitts Hill, were taken to King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. Information about their conditions was not available.
The accident occurred just before 6 p.m.
