IRVING, TX — Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowksy named the 12 recipients of the Postgraduate Scholarship Awards on Monday and Marshall’s Jeff Mullins is among them.
The conference annually presents the $4,000 Postgraduate Scholarship awards to graduates as selected by the Faculty Athletics Representatives.
Mullins excelled in both the classroom and on the field during his four years at Marshall. A four-year letterwinner as a tight end and long snapper, the senior was named team captain.
Mullins was a semifinalist for the Draddy Award — the Academic equivalent to the “Heisman” — and is a two-time member of CoSIDA’s ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Team.
The Gallipolis native earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, with a minor in chemistry and has been accepted to the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University.
