WILLOW WOOD — Workers are putting the finishing touches on Valley Pizza And Grocery on State Route 378 in Willow Wood.

“It will be a little of everything,” said Candi White, soon-to-be-store owner. “There won’t be a whole lot of any one thing, but a little of everything.”

The new store will occupy the old Circle W building and will offer both ready-to-go meals and food to make meals plus other household items.

The store will feature a complete line of pizza, submarine sandwiches and salads as well as side items such as french fries, cheese sticks, soft drinks and onion rings.

It also will carry deli meats and cheeses, milk, bread, grocery items, cleaning supplies, pet foods and grooming and health aids. Gasoline pumps in front of the building will offer another convenience to rural customers.

The store will carry tobacco products but will not deal in lottery tickets or alcohol.

White and co-owner Darren Hamlin will announce the

grand opening at a later date. Right now, efforts are underway to renovate the building that has set empty when Circle W closed three years ago.

They purchased the building in February.

She said this venture into the business world is something both of them have wanted to do for a long time.

“He’s always wanted to do this. He had managed a pizza place before and I have been in business previously, too. Then this place became available,” she said.

Valley Pizza and Grocery will be open Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m.-11 p.m. and Sunday 12 noon- 10 p.m. Both EBT and debit cards will be accepted.
