Lady Vikings post key win over Western

WILLOW WOOD — Another one bites the dust.

Symmes Valley faced the second straight co-leader in the Southern Ohio Conference, and for the second straight time the Lady Vikings came away with a win as they stunned the Western Lady Indians 77-66 Saturday.

After beating Portsmouth Clay on Thursday, the Lady Vikings knocked Western into a second place tie with Clay behind New Boston. Symmes Valley is now 11-5 overall and 8-4 in the SOC. Western fell to 12-5 and 9-3.

“I can’t say enough about our kids,” Lady Vikings coach Lisa Bryant said. “We are on a 6-game winning streak. We are playing well right now and not at

a bad time either with the tournament coming up.”
