Ironton JL All-Stars rout West in tournament

WEST PORTSMOUTH — The Ironton Junior League All-Stars picked up an easy 19-1 win over Portsmouth West in the District 11 tournament Saturday.
Four Ironton pitchers limited Portsmouth West to just three singles. T.J. Young went the final two innings for the win.
Jerrod Eldridge was 2-for-2 and Tres Wilks was 2-for-4 to lead Ironton’s 12-hit attack. Tommy Waginger and Wilks each had a double.
Also getting a hit for Ironton were Howie Lucas, Taylor Barker, Tanner Riley, Anthony Harper, Levi Hopkins, Justin Mahlmeister and Young.
The Ironton All-Stars play at 6 p.m. Thursday at South Webster against Wheelersburg.
