LLOYD, Ky. — One thing the Rock Hill Redwomen didn’t forget was how to win.

Despite a week-long layoff, the Redwomen shutout the Greenup County Lady Musketeers 3-0 Tuesday in a non-league game.

“I was glad we got to play. We’ve had a long layoff and you’re never certain how you’ll respond,” said Redwomen coach Mary Harper.

Bobbi Harper got the win with a one-hitter. She struck out 12 and did not walk a batter in fashioning her masterpiece.

“(Bobbi) threw well, but she wouldn’t be the pitcher she is without Shelli (Harper) as her catcher and her teammates. They make the plays behind her,” coach Harper said.

Rock Hill scored all its runs in the second inning.

Shelli Harper and Brooke Skinner singled and both scored on a triple by Brooke Long. Kayla Kelley grounded out to second base as Long scored.

The only Greenup hit was a single by Fox in the fifth inning.

Shelli Harper and Skinner were 2-3 as the Redwomen got six hits.

Rock Hill (9-0) travels to Fairland Wednesday for an Ohio Valley Conference game.
