SOUTH POINT — Jacob Seagraves may want to use “2-4-7” to play the Ohio Lottery Pick 3 game.
Seagraves threw a 2-hitter in his fourth start this season and racked up seven strikeouts as the South Point Pointers blanked the Symmes Valley Vikings 16-0 in five innings Thursday.
Trenton Moore was 3-3 to lead a 9-hit attack for the Pointers. Anthony Ross was 2-3 while Kyle Hughes had three runs batted in.
Chris Brown and Ross drove in two runs each and Seagraves had an RBI double. Beau Weed, Tyler Smith and Moore each had an RBI.
Cody Bland had both of Symmes Valley’s hits.
South Point led 6-0 after three innings, then erupted for 10 runs in the fourth inning to set up the mercy rule victory.
The Pointers host Ironton St. Joseph at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
